Shopping is also a pleasure in Brisbane, especially in Paddington and Rosalie, around La Trobe Terrace, and there are lots of department stores and chic designer stores in Queens Street Mall. Fashion fundi's head for Fortitude Valley, which is also famous for its excellent nightclubs, and there are some excellent factory outlets in Stones Corner.
Sports facilities abound, too - cricket tests are held at Gabba Sports Ground and rugby fans head for Suncorp Stadium.
