Brussels Airlines is a Belgian carrier which aims to provide low cost airfares to passengers. It was formed in 2006 following a merger of Virgin Express and SN Brussels Airlines. It operates 300 flights per day and its routes service more than 50 destinations, with the majority of flights being within Europe. Brussels airlines has a fleet of 49 aircraft.
Brussels Airlines offers two types of economy ticket on its short haul flights. The b.flex economy ticket is fully refundable, offers seat selection, extra luggage allowance, fast track through security at Brussels airport and complimentary inflight meals. It is also possible to purchase lounge access for a small additional cost. The b.light economy ticket is for the more budget conscious traveller. Meals are available to purchase onboard the aircraft.
On long haul flights, Brussels Airlines offers Business and Economy class, with both offering inflight meals and entertainment. Business Class passengers additionally receive a glass of champagne on boarding and complimentary lounge access.
The loyalty programme of Brussels Airlines is called Privilege. Privilege Blue is the basic membership level, with Privilege Gold and Privilege Platinum for more frequent flyers. Benefits include lounge access and bonus miles. Points can be earned flying with Brussels Airlines or their airline partners, and also making purchases with their ground partners.
