Information on Malaysia Airlines
Malaysia Airlines won the award for â€˜Best Economy Classâ€™ at the World Airline Awards 2006 organised by Skytrax. It is the national carrier of Malaysia with its main hub at Kuala Lumpur International airport. The airline flies to 32 destinations within Malaysia and 86 internationally (17 of which are in conjunction with flight partners).
International flights offer First, Golden Club and Economy class cabins. First and Golden Club Class travellers (and Platinum and Gold members of the Enrich programme) may use the Premier Lane for faster immigration clearance at Kuala Lumpur International airport. They may also access the Golden Lounges, which offer business facilities and showers, amongst other benefits. There is a complimentary limousine service for First and Golden Club passengers from London Heathrow. All classes offer inflight meals and entertainment.
Enrich is the frequent flyer programme of Malaysia Airlines. Benefits of membership include free flights, upgrades, companion tickets and lounge access. Membership levels are Blue, Silver, Gold and Platinum. All levels except Blue offer excess baggage allowance. Gold members may bring two guests to the Golden Lounges. Points can be accrued through flights and purchases with Malaysia Airlines and their partners.
GRADS is a student card which can be purchased from Malaysia Airlines. It entitles students to a 50% discount on flights within Malaysia and other discounts on international flights. To be eligible, the student must be over 12 years old and in full time education, with at least a further six months of study remaining.
