Information on Flybe
Flybe was formed in 1979 as Jersey European. In 2000, the name was changed to British European, before becoming Flybe in 2002. The airline flies to 56 destinations across 12 countries. Its major hubs are Birmingham, Southampton, Belfast, Channel Islands Edinburgh and Glasgow airports. In 2005, Flybe was voted ‘most popular UK domestic and France-based airline’ in Holiday Which?
Flybe offers Economy Plus and Economy seating on its aircraft. Economy Plus facilities include additional baggage allowance, executive lounge access and priority check-in. Executive lounges are available at selected airports and facilities provided include TVs, work stations, refreshments and panoramic views of the airport runways. It is possible to pre-assign seating in Economy and Economy Plus.
Flybe has introduced a frequent flyer programme called Rewards4all to reward customer loyalty. Points can be earned through taking flights with the airline, and can be redeemed for free flights or executive lounge access. Points earned have no expiry date.
For companies frequently booking passengers on to Flybe flights, the Business Express service can reduce booking time. A book of 20 individual tickets can be bought for travel between two named airports, before the names of the passengers needs to be confirmed. A book of 40 multi route tickets is also available for companies who need to send passengers across a wider network.
