Information on Finnair
Finnair was established in 1923. It is the main airline of Finland and its main hub is at Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Finnair is a member of the Oneworld airline alliance. In 2007, it was voted Best European Airline at the Danish Travel Awards.
On international and most European flights, Finnair operates a two class cabin, Business and Economy class. Business class offers additional baggage allowance, priority baggage and lounge access. On European flights, Finnair offers the flexibility to buy a ticket for a Business class flight one way and an Economy class ticket the other. A one class cabin is operated from Helsinki to certain European destinations including Prague, Budapest and Vienna. In both classes, meals and drinks are provided to passengers.
Finnair Plus is the frequent flyer programme of Finnair. Membership levels are Basic, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Benefits include free flights, upgrades, additional baggage allowances and lounge access. Children aged between 2 and 17 may join the Junior Plus programme. Points may be redeemed for free flights or other rewards, such as mugs and rucksacks.
Finnair offers a Corporate Programme, allowing businesses to obtain discounts, with these discounts increasing with the number of flights taken.
