Alitalia-Linee Aeree Italiane (Alitalia) was formed in 1947 and is Italy’s national carrier. Alitalia’s two main hubs are Fiumicino airport in Rome and Malpensa airport in Milan. It is a member of the SkyTeam airline alliance. Alitalia has a fleet of 179 aircraft and flies to 63 countries on 6 continents.

On long haul flights, Alitalia offers Magnifica Business Class and Economy Class. On medium and short haul flights, Business Class and Economy Class are available. Both Business Classes offer lounge access to Alitalia and SkyTeam VIP lounges. All flights offer Inflight meals and entertainment.

Alitalia’s frequent flyer programme is MilleMigla. Points are earned through flights with Alitalia and purchases from their travel and non-travel partners. Passengers earning enough points in a calendar year are eligible to join the Ulisse Club or, for more points the Freccia Alata Club. Members of both clubs receive lounge access, business class check in (even if an economy ticket is held) and additional baggage allowances, as well as other benefits.
