Air Canada is the national airline of Canada, serving over 32 million customers annually and is the 14th largest commercial airline in the world. It is a member of the Star Alliance. In 2007, Air Canada was voted Best Airline in North America and Best Airline in Canada by the US magazine, Global Traveler. The airline has hubs in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary.

On its international flights, Air Canada has an Executive First (Business) class and an Economy class. In Executive First, some airlines are fitted with lie-flat beds, while all seats recline to a minimum of 151 degrees. Lounge access to the Maple Leaf Lounge is also available to Executive First ticket holders. Facilities in both classes include entertainment and inflight meals. If flying with Air Canada within North America, the two classes are Executive and Economy. Executive class ticket holders may use the Maple Leaf Lounge.

Air Canada participates in a reward programme called Aeroplan. Air Canada Top Tier Status has Prestige, Elite and Super Elite levels. Core benefits include priority waitlisting and airport check in, and lounge access for Elite and Super Elite levels. The programme also offers choice benefits, where members can choose which benefits they prefer from a selection offered. These include upgrade certificates and lounge passes for guests.

Membership of the Air Canada Maple Leaf Club offers lounge access and priority check in. Membership can be purchased by all Aeroplan members online or by contacting Air Canada.

Air Canada Jazz is a subsidiary of Air Canada, operating flights to destinations in the United States and Canada.
