The ski resort of Meribel is part of the Trois Vallees ski area, which is one of the largest ski areas in the world.  Situated in the French Alps, Meribel is made up of Meribel Centre, Meribel-Mottaret and Meribel Village.  The resort has nearly 100 miles of ski runs, including 9 black runs, as well as 2 snowboard areas.  Other activities available in Meribel include heli-skiing, ice skating and cross country ski-ing.  The nearest airport to Meribel is at Chambery, with Flybe and Jet2 both flying there from the UK.  Other airports close to the resort include Geneva and Grenoble.
