Dinard is in the French region of Brittany and has a warm climate, due to the fact that it is in the path of the Gulf Stream.  Located on Brittany’s Emerald Coast, it attracts many visitors from the UK who appreciate its elegance and wide choice of beaches and beautiful scenery.   There are many places around Dinard that are also worth visiting, including Saint-Malo and Pleurtuit.

Top Attractions

Promenade du Clair de Lune

The Promenade du Clair de Lune runs between the Pointe du Moulinet headland and the Prieure beach.  A walk along the Promenade runs through beautiful gardens.  Between June and September, the Promenade is illuminated by night and music is played. 

Beaches

There are a good selection of beaches in and around Dinard.  Many of them are long and sandy beaches, but there are also small inlets for visitors who prefer somewhere a little more peaceful.  Two of the larges beaches in Dinard are the Plage de L’Ecluse and Plage de St Enogat.  The main beaches of Dinard have first aid posts manned during the summer months.

Other beaches in Dinard include the Port Blanc Beach and the Prieure Beach.

Port Breton Park

Port Breton Park covers around five hectares opposite the Prieure Beach.  The wooded park offers wonderful opportunities for walking, as well as a lake, rose garden, numerous species of animals and activities for children.

Sports

There are endless opportunites to participate in watersports in Dinard.  Options include sea fishing, diving, sailing and diving. 

Other sports available in Dinard include hot air ballooning, golfing, paintball and horseriding.

Saint-Malo

The walled town of Saint-Malo is situated a few miles from Dinard.  Wonderful views are available from the ramparts in the town.  There are two Aquariums in the town, with the Grand Aquarium being the newer and larger of the two.  Saint-Malo has a large selection of seafood restaurants.

How to get there

The Dinard Pleurtuit Saint-Malo Aiport serves Dinard and is located a couple of miles south of the town.  Aurigny Air Services offer flights between Dinard and Guernsey.  Ryanair offer flights between Dinard and East Midlands Airport and London Stansted.
